Do:

When shopping for a used UTV, you want to make sure to always complete a very thorough inspection of a potential model. Without an inspection, you’re likely to walk away with a damaged or neglected UTV that will rack up some hefty repair fees not long after your initial purchase. Once your initial inspection is done, we strongly recommend setting up a test drive. This will allow you to double-check that the engine starts and runs properly and that the controls are functioning normally. Just remember to request a cold start with your salesperson beforehand! 

Don’t:

UTVs and powersports vehicles are popular stolen goods. As a result, it's not uncommon for buyers to accidentally purchase a stolen vehicle and run into legal issues once it's time to sign all the paperwork. For this reason, we advise that you avoid individual sellers and shop with reputable dealerships instead. If you are purchasing from an individual seller, be sure to double-check the VIN number for signs of damage and removal, as this is often a sign the vehicle has been stolen. Whether you’re buying from an individual or a dealership, don’t forget to run your model’s VIN number through a reporting agency beforehand to learn of any theft, damages, or accidents the vehicle was involved in.
